[Inconsistency, 7.35] List of problems with New Item Tooltips.

Continuing #10066 but I think this should be said in a separate issue.

1. 🌗Some items still do not have New Item Tooltips

Mostly, it's passive item effects. Some notable examples of items without new tooltips:

🔵Skadi

• it would be nice to show that its slow doesn't pierce BKB, but there is no info shown at all.

🟡MKB

• true-strike proc DOES pierce BKB
• the linked damage proc does not pierce BKB (resulting in reduced damage since BKB gives 50% magic res in those cases)

Again, no info is shown

🟢Because unlike Javelin, Maelstorm, Gleipnir, Mjölnir where

• true-strike proc DOES NOT pierce BKB
• the linked damage proc does not pierce BKB (but since true-strike never happens - the damage proc also never happens)

Again no info shown at all.

2.💡New tooltips should be linked to item abilities rather than items themselves

Because for example, some items have two or more passives/actives involved and some of them should have different information.

For example, diffusal says

which clearly only describes the active component. But what about the fact that Manabreak passive does not pierce BKB. There are more examples, i.e. Abyssal Blade has 3 abiltities under its belt.

3. 🤒Some items now have duplicated information in their tooltips.

For example, Scythe of Vyse duplicates information about Dispellable in its alt-tooltip.

4. 🤓Some items do not provide full information despite having new tooltips

For example. overwhelming blink doesn't say if its slow pierces debuff immunity or dispellable info.

5. 👻Some items have outdated info in their tooltips.

Not really about new tooltips but it should be fixed with them. For example, nullifier says that it pierces magic immunity in its alt-tooltip while it does not since 7.34 patch and the term "magic immunity" is outdated itself (it's debuff immunity now). New tooltip doesn't say pierce information either.

PS. If I have time I might make somewhat comprehensive list (but there is just too many) on this but feel free to comment more cases of items that are missing new tooltips or do not have important information listed.

PPS. I'm using "pierce BKB" stat as my primary complaint but this issue obviously applies to the whole spectrum of characterisric, i.e. damage type, dispellable, targets, etc.

👨‍🔬 Conclusion

The system needs some redesign to satisfy section 2. And sadly. absolute majority of new, old and Alt tooltips need some extra revision.

Yeah, Witch Blade has no tooltip at all, Parasma mentions that it is passive and pierces debuff immunity but nothing about being dispellable, damage type, or who it affects, Mage Slayer does not mention debuff immunity[^1].

I also agree that this information should be associated with an ability like on Dota 2 Wiki.

[^1]: Btw. the debuff on enemies still says that it reduces spell damage by 35% and does not say anything about DPS.
