I spent 75 euros on those chests, I got the money back because I was LUCKY enough to get a bunch of tier 3 items but not with the recycling. You really want WK's arcana? Spend 200 euros and buy it. You really want to fight this crappy system? Stop spending your money in this gacha bullshit. I will, for sure.
Remember the good times when each opened chest increased the chance of finding a higher tier to counter bad luck? Chances were higher by default, and chances would get higher the more you opened.

The Frostivus 2023 chest is a scam and Valve are not clear about it.
The primary concern revolves around the inadequacy of information regarding the odds of receiving good items from the Frostivus 2023 chest. The communication provided in the Frostivus update does little to clarify the odds, leaving players like myself in the dark about the true likelihood of obtaining valuable items. The statement, "Other chests contain an item from one of the 4 Tiers. Starting with Tier 1, each item has a 10% chance to upgrade to the next Tier," is ambiguous and fails to provide the clarity necessary for players to make informed decisions.
Furthermore, the decision to omit the odds from the in-game client is particularly distressing. The absence of this information within the client misleads players and hinders their ability to make well-informed decisions about their spending. I have personally spent £40 on the Frostivus 2023 chest and have made little progress towards tier 4.
In my pursuit of understanding the odds, I resorted to third-party sources to uncover the alarming statistics. It is deeply concerning to discover that the odds for Tier 4 items are approximately 0.09%, equating to a staggering 1 in every 1111 treasures. Such an excessively low probability raises questions about the fairness and justification behind these odds.
As a devoted member of the Dota 2 community, I implore Valve to reconsider the transparency and fairness of the Frostivus 2023 chest odds. Providing players with clear and easily accessible information within the game client is essential for maintaining trust.
