Getting kicked back to main menu after finding a match and accepting.

Description

How can I fix it? It happened after I updated Dota2 this morning (after the update there was a dragon's hoard treasure box) and when I did find match and when I found a match and I pressed accept. I got kicked out of the main menu and couldn't connect back. After that I tried find match 4-5 more times but got kicked and banned again.

third try... the same - after check game files...

Does not help. but if after starting the game you re-enter Dota, you can go to the lobby

Now I can fix it!
1.go to steam library
2.right click dota2 > properties > installed files > Browse
3.Now dota2 beta folder will open
4.click game folder
5.You will see the bin folder
6.Delete bin folder
7.Back to dota2 > properties > installed files
8.Click 'Verify integrity of game files and wait for the verification to succeed
9.Play dota2!
It's worked for me

Delate bin from game where is download. Than go to verify and u are all set. Worked for me

Please check if you are running Dota2 as an administator. If you are running s an administator, remove it from the executable. how to check 1.dota2 beta >> game >> bin >> win64

Right click on dota2 >> properties >> Click on the compatibility tab 3.Check that Run as Administrator is unticked

If you haven't tick already , Not sure if you've tried Uninstalled dota2 and Reinstalled dota2?

I think should try reinstalling Dota 2 , Now doat2 has a new updated. Hopefully the dev will fix these problems.

Just want to confirm that deleting bin and re-verifying worked for me. I had previously uninstalled and reinstalled via Steam, but into the same location. Since deleting just the bin folder manually worked, my guess is that the permissions/ACLs on the folders or files needed to be recreated to match some new security expectation introduced with the recent patch.

But since this doesn't work for everyone, and we're all scrambling trying everything we can, I bet there are multiple new security requirements causing various issues. It might be that a checklist approach is the only way until Valve clarifies or issues a fix.

Not working this morning for me. I can find a match, but then get "Connecting..." and am assessed with an abandon. Latest ban was 45 minutes. Would be nice if you could at least clear abandon counting so that we're not punished for checking if the bug is fixed. Thanks for working on this! Reinstalling steam might have helped yesterday so I'll give that another try.

Estaba funcionando bien el dota hasta q lanzaron la update de 50 megas esa, el dota no me deja buscar partidas proque dice que lo estoy ejecutando como administrador, he realizado todos los pasos que describen y sigue dando el mismo problema

It means that now when you click on properties... It doesn't display anything, right?

If it doesn't show anything, try checking that. Do you use the beta client? if yes then try to change it steam >> settings >> interface >> Client Beta Participation >> click the Change button and choose No beta chosen

If it's not work, try opening steam in Big picture mode. view tap >> Big picture mode and try to right click again

Verify that you have finished this step >> https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Dota2-Gameplay/issues/15348#issuecomment-1936765946 If that doesn't work, I think you should try reinstalling dota2.

Works after completely reinstalling steam + dota. Still can't access dota properties (even though I have no beta chosen), but that's a separate and relatively minor issue at this point :) Thanks!

In my opinion If you try to follow the 3 steps (Deleted bin folder , not run as administrator , reinstalling dota2) but it doesn't work.

Should try repairing Windows files using this method 1) Open cmd with run as administrator 2) Copy the following command and paste it.

2.1) Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
2.2) Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
2.3) Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Steps 2.3 and 2.4 may take 1-10 mins depending on your internet speed.
2.4) Restart your computer 3.Open dota2 properties and Verify integrity of game files again

I'm not sure if repairing Windows files will work or not... I apologize if this didn't work and the ban period was extended 😢

Still a problem 2 weeks later. In our partys case, it seems players in US East cannot connect to EU West, but we can do vice-versa. ISP is Telus.

I dont believe there is an IP block. I did some digging:

Start a bot match
Start playing
Ragequit in the middle of the game by hitting ALT + F4
Try starting a bot match again

And I experience the issue. No logs, nothing else. I did not fix it. There is nothing you can do. This issue must be handled by Valve.

Its an easy fix for valve just increasing the waiting for players time to +15 secs instead kicking them out, one thing i noticed its when this happens CPU consumptions goes over 60 % just to ''join a game'' it has real BAD performance issues this new patch Please Valve if you read this until you have a better performance solution just increase the waiting time and this will solve 99 % of this issue cases :)
