Description

this error cannot queue for matchmaking when running dota as administrator, why can solve this?

Example Match ID (and possibly Timestamp)

try to remove / re-add a DLC , it will work again

I've tried everything. Renaming bin and revalidating. Clearing caches and restarting. Toggling administrator compatibility on and off. Nothing works. Tried disabling anti-virus.

I had the bug earlier and it resolved itself by simply restarting Steam and Dota. I did it again just now in fact.

I tried that. Multiple restarts, and combinations of the posted fixes plus restarts. So far nothing resolves the issue.

Some things others suggest have gotten me to where I can queue. But then when the game pops it gives the same can't run as administrator issue. This is really obnoxious bug.

I have the same issue, reinstalling the game, removing workshop contents and unchecking DLC's also have no effect. Deleting the binary or check compatibility is also done, I'm sure I don't run that game as admin.

When I encountered that issue first time, I was in a lobby could choose team, than I switched by myseld to the heroes menue and from that point I was unable to switch back to the lobby.

I see the new error message screen about VAC being unable to verify my computer is secure. It doesn't make any sense. I've done nothing to effect VAC. I've never cheated. I have 8k hours in Dota2 and a 20 year old steam account with 2k games.

Tried latest patch, issue still exists. I'm about to try a reformat and will report back.

Was able to fix it by clearing the download cache, logging out, logging in, deleting the game, rebooting and reinstalling.
