Matchmaking issue #16335

Description

Hello, sorry in advance in case I posted in the wrong thread/folder, please relocate if necessary.

Recently I have problems with bad quality matchmaking, especially after the update for Dota+ that allows see Overall match quality and accept such match or not. I understand that it may be my personal issues but I am pretty stable in match performance on all roles. No changes, I play matches that are equal and stop playing matches that are definitely unbalanced (afk with some periodic activity until match is finished in 20-25 mins). I identify such matches on 10-15 min after laning, by understanding my teammates skills and what is more important - ability to play as a team. And in 95% its true prognosis - it just saves time, because such matches do not bring me any good gaming experience (but I don't blame, nothing is perfect).

Here are few examples of such matches. it would be great to have any help or insight from players, game testers or even devs to understand how to make my personal gaming experience better. And first of all, somehow move my rank higher to players with equal skills, it would be more fun for all I suppose. Thank you.

@jeffhill I can feel what you are feeling. This is the consequence of manipulated matches. You can see the skill gap with a certain MMR is huge which mean Valve's ranked system is useless. Also, Valve wants you to play as long as possible so that you will pay more money. You will never see this in a random matchmaking because it is fair. But business is dark and cruel. I personally experienced 11-games losing streak all saying "ideal" match quality, I was fooled 11 times. I have posted several issues including this one: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Dota2-Gameplay/issues/16304 Valve will not change, it has been 10 years and this is their dirty business.

I imagine this new feature doesn't work at all. I stopped paying attention to it and actually unsubscribed from Dota+ because this subscription does not provide you anything valuable data to enjoy the game, but only confuses with false info on matches to accept. This is all mess that exists for 10 years I agree. That is the reason why all these boosting services exist with smurfs (boosters or those who bought and are incapable of playing in purchased bracket) that spoil this already broken algo even more...

Same issue with bad quality matchmaking. Nothing changes.

core is SS, mid is PL and 4pos Slardar that ruined my lane. My reports on role abuse are not counted but I get abandon and reports from these players nevertheless I was online and did not leave this game till the end (that was obvious loose). All this results in low priority. Match quality vas "Ideal", behaviour score was "Good"...

sometime you feel the ranked games are chaotic looks like anything but "a team game" people want money and they do whatever they want I got reported by 4 other people for telling them what to do, I lost 1000 BS and an "overwatch case" against I struggle in LP for 7 games finally made myself out, still trying to get more BS for "normal" games not speaking anything to brain dead people or they report you, this is the sad reality of Dota 2 at least 10 years

Hi, I think by implementing AI or other modern solutions in "player behavior" scoring could solve many problems for game designer team that is responsible for matchmaking algo. I hope once they decide to invest resources in those aspects that already have lots of reall-world evidence, hence make Dota2 more player-centric.

AI could be a solution, but Valve will not invest. They want the most money out of least resource.
