Description

"Q" hotkey on item inventory slot number 1(upper left) is not working anymore after 7.36.

1. It is working in hero Demo mode
2. NOT working in Turbo mode
3. I have not tried it yet in Ranked. I'll lose MMR if ever it's not working. not willing to risk it.
4. I have not tried remapping Q to another slot as I'm only planning to Q in slot 1 forever and nothing else.

Adding 1 crucial info:

1. When my hero is dead, pressing Q behaves like it is working as it will say that the item being tried by it in the slot I'm using is cooling down or is unusable because my hero is dead.

Same, Not working in Ranked either. Luckily I won the game but had to face a lot of issues. I too have been using "q" for the top left inventory item and changing it feels like starting all over again @ippohagorn

Also, another Turbo game: 7753149856 The hotkey WAS WORKING. But then it started to NOT WORK at 10:24 or 10:25. I even DCed and restarted Dota 2 but it did not fix it.

I restarted steam after the game above, and it still did not fix the problem as I've started another game.

On my 3rd match after 3 more matches, hot key went back to normal and is working again see @1.57min of this game: 7753272014

Still afraid to play Rank if its going to NOT WORK again which is very likely given the samples above..

Another 5 games in, hotkey Q didnt work. I also did Reset hotkey from the settings, remapped everything as before, still did not fix the problem. help.

Observation ever since I made my last comment above(since 5 days ago): It seems like hotkey Q only works for the first time I play a game coming from a computer shutdown. The next games simply wont let me use the hotkey - non-functional. I tried restarting Dota 2 and restarted steam after my first games, 2nd games, 3rd, etc., it didnt work.

I will try computer restart in my next games and will report back.

I have the same issue, on some heroes the "Q" key works on some it does not. I think that the issue is related to Innate Abilities they are actual spells and I am assuming on the heroes that it does not work they are assigned the "Q" letter for casting even though they are "passive" when the legacy option is selected. I have found a workaround:

Select Legacy Keys:

Then go to Hotkeys -> To Advanced Hotkeys and uncheck Use Legacy keys

Now go back to Hotkeys and check "Unit Specific Hotkeys", then select the hero that you are playing and assign the keys:

After this, the "Q" will work on Windranger. I know it's not the best solution but until they fix it.

Update on this, "Restart" doesn't resolve the issue. Tried restarting after 1st games, even after some games after it coming from a shutdown , doesnt work.
