Soul Strike Vengeful Spirit inconsistent behaviour (melee/ranged) #18846

Description

There is a lot of confusion over whether Soul Strike Vengeful Spirit is melee or ranged. Is being melee/ranged a property of the hero or of the attack?
It's difficult to report bugs without knowing the desired behaviour, so I'm going to use this to document the current behaviour and hopefully a dev can glance over it and tell us whether that is how it's supposed to be.

Right now it looks like Soul Strike Vengeful Sprit gains the benefits of both being ranged and melee for her attacks. However when it comes to effects that care whether she is melee or ranged the behaviour is inconsistent. Skadi slows like she is melee, but vanguard won't give her the damage block for being melee. I don't know why the melee attack range from penta-edged sword behaves different to the one from broom handle. Something to be fixed before it rotates back in.

And Phase Boots, Power Treads, Halberd (disarm) work as melee. However this is a great table, good job!
