Item is not marketable - Mirana Ultra Rare #194

Open GoodWinJK228 opened 2 years ago

GoodWinJK228 commented 2 years ago

Description

There appears to be an issue with item ''Spirit of the Sacred Grove" which is an Ultra Rare from collector cache 2020. As you are familiar, all of the ultra rares are always marketable within the year of its realese. However, it has been 2 years since the item went public and it has yet to become marketable. You can not sell the item at all...

This is 100% a bug, since after Spring Cleaning Dota 2 update (where dota developers fix well known bugs and issues). Ultra Rare "Radiant Conqueror" was made marketable (which was not marketable but Dota community reported tthis bug and issue got fixed) Just so you are aware, this Ultra Rare was released in the same 2020 year and even later than "Spirit of the Sacred Grove".. Therefore, there is a certain, guaranteed mistake of not alowing marketability of the item.

Please resolve the issue by making the item marketable as it should be. I attached some files for reference. Thanks

I would say this repo is primarily for in-game bugs and cosmetic issues, but still, I can see this being resolve fairly quickly by Dota2 and the Steam team from Valve.

marketability of items has NOTHING to do with in game bugs. that is STEAM. Contanct steam support instead of misusing this repo.

I did contact them and they told me to make my point clear through community means for a better visibility. That’s why I am here, also I put this topic into unspecified category, which can be anything basically.

so they responded to you in less than 5 hours this repo was created and told you directly to post on github? sure buddy. They mean steam community. This repo is for IN GAME bugs. this is neither in game nor a bug. But on steam.

At this point I feel like you are trolling or just bored. Pls go and bother someone else, I’ll leave this article up for the boss to reply.

TI ultra rare Collector's Cache items are tradable after the subsequent TI finishes. As the previous TI (TI10) this set released for was delayed by a year this set won't be tradable until the next TI (TI11) finishes. There even is a tag on the bundled item. marketable

Thanks for letting me know, haven’t seen this bundle description yet and I know that same rule applies for immortals. But, Legion Commander Ultra Rare cache became marketable after Spring Cleaning Update, and this set was released right after Miranas set, both of them are ultra rare bundles. Therefore, mirana should be marketable just as a legion commander right now.

The Legion Commander set being tradable while the Mirana set isn't is a discrepancy, however the Legion Commander set being marketable could just as well be the oversight rather than the Mirana set not being marketable. As annoying as it is, TI is coming up which will make the Mirana set tradable, so I doubt Valve will bother making it marketable a handful of months earlier.

Please refrain from talking to others in this matter. Cosmetic bugs are still bugs, and can be listed here if another member decides to upvote it. It may not be looked at, but it can be archived for later viewing.

i know that this post is old but, just to update your knowledge, i recently contacted steam support about this issue, they said that they can't do anything about it, it should be dealt with by the development team

"I understand that this is an inconvenience, but Steam Support cannot change the flagging of an item.

We will gladly assist you with support-related issues. However, this appears to be game-related feedback and is better suited for the Dota development team. Your feedback has been noted."

Hey Valve, please fix this, should be simple!

shaileshgarg commented 1 year ago

Can you check what immortals are still not marketable from 2020 and add then to https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Dota2-Gameplay/issues/5284, consider closing this issue and upvote that one.
