Game crashes, then can't verify game files - stuck at 0% #21040

Description

I thought this bug was fixed, but guess not... So annoying to have the game crash on you, then you can't launch dota again, as Steam fails its damn verify game check. It is always stuck at 0%, and nothing changes that. Change region, restart PC/Steam, log off, force start exe, nothing. It will stay stuck until it eventually somehow, works again. But then it is too late, you have gotten an abandon.

This has been a problem for over a YEAR! I see after googling, it is also a problem on other valve games, such as CS.

Delete your bin folder in Dota then reverify. See if that works
