Offline Bots Still Not Working

It's been about 9 months or so since this issue surfaced, I just wanted to bring it up again as a reminder, I apologize if it is an inconvenience.

When playing Dota in offline mode I am unable to get into a bot match despite the interface suggesting it should be possible.

There are certain workarounds people have posted but this is still something that should be fixed for the longevity of the game, its almost been a year. And moreso than anything I would feel more at ease if this was acknowledged as a bug rather than an intentional direction Valve is taking their offline support in.
