Cant use drinking buddies unless its on max lvl #21804

The drinking budies ability has an alternative use, for this you need to hold down ctrl. but very often it stops working because the game tries to upgrade the ability and says that there are no upgrade points. this only happens under certain conditions

here's how to reproduce the problem 1) Get 3 lvl 2) Upgrade drinking buddies 1 time 3) Upgrade snowball 1 time. (notice: alt ver drinking buddies by pressing ctrl works) 4) Upgrade snowball 1 more time. Now u cant use alternative vercion by ctrl.

They have released an "alternate cast switch" bind setting in Hotkeys > Advanced Hotkeys > Interface to prevent conflicting these 2 binds like this. This shouldn't be an issue once you stop these binds from overlapping.

This setting does not exist to solve this problem.

In fact, this problem has already been resolved within the game. Game priority is upgrade the ability and if game cant do it, then game tries use alt vercion of ability.

however, in some cases this logic gets bugged I can add a 5th point to my instructions: when leveling up drinking buddies again, using ctrl works again, without max lvl on ability

Yes, this bug is very annoying.

Unfort they changed ability numbers, but bug is still there..
