Game Crashing After KEV Update - Move Command Issue with Enchantress? #22672

Description

Hey everyone,

I just played my first game after the new KEV update, and it was a disaster. The game kept crashing instantly. After repeatedly rejoining and crashing, I figured out that the issue was with my move command. I couldn’t right-click to move or use the hotkey – it crashed the game every time.

Weirdly, if I moved with the attack command or used a skill to move, it didn’t crash. Placing items like an Iron Branch was also fine, but every time I tried a basic move command, it would instantly crash the game. Had to take an abandon because it was unplayable.

After more testing in the demo mode, I realized that this seems to only affect Enchantress. Could someone else try it out and confirm if they’re having the same issue with her? Would love to know if it’s just me or a new bug with the update. Thanks!

Not having any issue with Enchantress in demo mode here. I tried all spells and move or attack commands.

Try to unequip all cosmetics. It could be a bug with animation or the like.

I tried without cosmetics, it still happens

I uninstalled and reinstalled dota2, crash remains

I managed to kinda fix the issue by adjusting the start options following your toubleshoot guide. Turns out I was using the Harem Announcer Pack (from thishttps://steamcommunity.com/groups/EEanimemods/discussions/0/357287304420206389/). By removing the -language harem start option, the game stopped crashing when I right-clicked to move as Enchantress.

Interestingly, I tested with other heroes that are included in the Harem Announcer Pack, and there was no issue with them – only Enchantress seems affected.

Would there be any way to continue using the Harem Announcer without the crashes? Any potential fix for this? Thanks in advance
