Random crashes at game startup, during and after matches #2479

Description

Ive been struggling with a bunch of crashes lately that seem to occur on a pretty random note, Some prevent me from launching the game entirely, some occur randomly during matches or at the end of a match when I return to lobby.

I have attached a zip file of all crashdumps generated on the 29th of August alone (theres a bunch more from earlier on that I ahvent included). dumps.zip

I'm at an absolute loss here, theres no indication of any system faults, drivers are all up to date, bios is on the latest version, windows is freshly installed, memory and disks are all clear or errors/faults and nothing shows up in event viewer. I've run check files countless times, reinstalled the game twice, removed all shader caches, launched in safe and autoconfig modes respectively, nothing works, the crashes keep occuring.

Ill take anything at this point, any hint as to how I might fix this. Are there any logs that I can read? Anything so I can actually properly play? Dota is the only game that is having such issues for me too, I dont get any crashes on other games.

Example Match ID (and possibly Timestamp)

Same issue here. During startup of dota, or during custom games (only played custom games recently). I've attached my dumps from today.

Verified integreity of game files - still crashing Reinstalled dota2 - still crashing Reinstalled custom games - still crashing

Crashing has been really bad for me and a friend today. In one match I crashed 4 times and saw some very strange behavior: (Match ID: 6764035961)

Found a dump files in my C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dota 2 beta\game\bin\win64 folder (see attached)

But that was dated 12:50am and the match started after so not sure if it's related.

@Jonny-G @eddeT I have since found a solution for this issue.

I am running a AMD based system and I notziced that my BIOS was a few AGESA versions behind. It appears that AGESA versions 1.2.0.2 up to 1.2.0.6b have a huge issue with memory timing stability, especially if you happen to be using your RAM's XMP profiles or are doing any manual timing adjustments/OC.

The manufactoruer of my Motherboard has since released an upgraded BIOS version with AGESA 1.2.0.7. I've applied that and all of my issues are gone. No more driver or game crashes across the board.

Make sure to update your BIOS to the latest available version if any of you too have a AMD CPU

@SonOfTheStars Hey, haven't been logged in for a while.

I found why I was crashing as well. It was due to my external soundcard not being plugged in when playing. When I plugged it back in all crashes stopped. Probably was because dota was trying to send data to something that did not exists at the time.
