Dota 2 game client is crushing on macOS #4988

Description

Hello!

Dota 2 client is crushing on macOS. Bug constantly reproduces when Monkey King casts Wukong's Command and user's camera is focused on that(i.e. it's on the screen). Bug also appears with other abilities, unfortunately I didn't analyze all cases.

System data: MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) macOS version - Big Sur 11.5.2 Dota 2 version - 5,530 Dota 2 gameplay version - 7.32c

My Dota 2 nickname - [KC] Godfridd Steam account - godfrid1995

Same happening to me. Please fix this. I just want to play dota, I've gotten two abandons in the last 3 days because the game is unplayable.

Add -gl to the Launch Options in Steam. This will force your game to run with OpenGL, since it is no longer supported by default. (Dota2 Update 3. November 2022)

Already using -gl. Game won't open in Vulkan, either.

exact same thing (including the game not opening in vulkan since septber or beginning of oktober)

same on macOS, if I use -gl I can open data but low fps and sometimes it quits from the game.

Is it still crashing?

It's still crashing, but I have a hackintosh lol. (i9-9900K, XFX AMD Vega 64 liquid cooled, 128 GB of RAM) Still I was able to play on it before with dota 2 beta with no red screen. But it happens after 20 seconds of playing in my local lobby.

I've tried to reinstall with no luck.
