1 year ago Also, as a side, no other games have had issues. It's only dota. About 2 years ago, I couldn't even join games, but it has improved since then ,and I just lag out during any intense action. I have a 1Gbit fiber up/down connection, and I monitor the ping. Whenever dota has issues, it seems I time out to router. Is there some kind of loopback issue where packets get sent back and forth maxing out the bandwidth? barely play, so I havent had a chance to look into it thorough.
Description
I have been having issues with DOTA on 10gbit lan for a long time. It seems to be on and off,. I'm using a UniFi Switch XG 16 switch on ethernet.
The issue mainly seems to be with ethernet adapters, especially during fights. I have never had issues when using the SFP hardware (on the same switch).
