Disconnecting from every match #7588

Hi all,

my brother and me, we were troubleshooting some strange behavior with his Dota2 Client yesterday.

On his account he gets disconnected from every match. Sometimes it works for like 3 minutes, other times he gets disconnected after 20 seconds being in the round.

So I started a custom match as a local server on my machine and my brother joined the match, so we could test some things.

Here are the things we tested and the outcome:

I really can't make much sense out of this. It's strange that he can play on the same computer/same network with a different account and that's working. So I don't think there's a problem with the network or his PC. As I stated before we even wiped his whole drive and reinstalled everything and it's still not working. When I play with his account on my computer (is on a different network) it just works fine. So his steam account can't be the problem either. Everything is working fine up until the point where he just gets disconnected. There are also no problems with steam itself, the friends list and the store are working fine. So what is causing this behavior then?

I also saw that message but I couldn't find anything about this error on the web. I even searched a bit through the Steamworks documentation and was hoping to get some informations out of that. Had no luck with that either.

It's just the console output. You have to enter "-console" in the Dota launch options and assign a key to open it.

Same for CS2, randomly disconnected from CS2 mathes and then can't reconnect with that error: Disconnection during connection phase. Sign-on state: 5 (SIGNONSTATE_SPAWN). Disconnect reason: 16 (NETWORK_DISCONNECT_STEAM_DROPPED)
