6k-7k BC Tier 8 Player MMR (Immortal +) calibrating in Herald 5 #7614

Open T-Z-D opened 1 year ago

Description

I played the 100 hours in unranked, dotabuff showed most averages as Divine or Immortal, and my Battle Cup Tier is 8, which is Immortal+. I had a 53% winrate across these 100 hours.

My first calibration game was in Herald(>1000MMR) and I clearly shouldn't be in this average. I saw other pro players who had this same issue previously.

*Just to note: I am not smurfing - I took a break from DotA for 3-4 years due to work and family issues. Could not get access to old account - made new one. Please help.

I do not want to ruin lower MMR average games, and I do not want to have to either buy an account or play another 100 hours.

Update / Bump: I played 3 calibration games. Won all 3. Every game the average MMR got lower and lower. Please help.

Ugh, this could be the decay system working as intended, to prevent old account being sold as high rank accounts. 4 years is a very long gap.

Good news! You now have a free Smurf account. After 15 win streak (iirc and if nothing has changed) you'll start gaining like 90 MMR. I'll see you in your next 10-20 games. You should be back to your MMR within 50-70 games. You'll likely be marched against other 'very high performing players' who are in the lower brackets but perform at the archon/legend level. Enjoy the pubstomps.

Unless Valve choose to address this in that time of course.

Alo, this is a new account, I do not have access to the old account. All the unranked games were played within the last 2 months. So it's not a decay issue.
