RAM problem's led to a ban on Feb 22 #7656

Description

I got a ban for using cheats and I'm pretty sure it's due to a problems with the computer's RAM or some rare gameplay bug. In the following text, I will provide all possible evidence.

Since I am 100% sure that I have never used cheats, I have already sent 4 tickets to Steam support, but every time I get a template response and it seems to me that Steam Support does not read tickets carefully enough or cannot recheck anything. I never asked Steam Support just to unblock me, I asked to pass information to the Dota Team to find and fix this error.

No reason for cheats

  1. I have been playing Dota since 2015 or 2016 (Why should I use cheats now).
  2. Almost every game I buy Gem (Why should I buy gem if I use cheats and can see enemies/wards without gem).
  3. I rarely buy a blink (Why, if there are probably cheats/scripts for a blink).
  4. Most of the time I go in a hardline or solo hardline (Because I've always played hardline and I'm not looking for an easy way. Why do I need cheats if I like hard game). [Percentage of cheaters by ranks and roles]
  5. I probably a lot of time farm jungle (I understand that I should play more with my team. But if I used cheats, I probably would run and kill, not afk farm).
  6. I checked my personal statistics (Dota 2 - Personal Game Data / Match Player Report) - just zero reports for cheats.
  7. I don't use any programs like skinchanger (Why, if I already have an arcana for my hero that I've been playing last few weeks or months).
  8. I don't use owerwolf (Why, if I play on 1 hero, I always choose the hero first and I don't care about hero bans).
  9. I have played almost 10,000 hours and bought a lot of battle passes. (Why should I risk it and use cheats)

There is no reason to think that I am a cheater. And I have no reason to use cheats.

Replays

I also downloaded all the replays that I could (all for the last 2-3 days that were available for download). I think these replays are evidence of not using cheats or scripts. You can analyze these replays to make sure I didn't get any unfair advantage and thus did not use cheats.

Strange errors

In January I got a lot of strange errors while playing.

With all these errors, the game window was closed automatically or using Ctrl+Alt+Del or using "Close" button on Steam. Since the game was closed for each of these errors, you can check the game(s) in which I "used cheats" and check if I was disconnected. If so, you should check more closely what actually happened.

Other

I played several (no more than 7 in recent 2-3 months) games using cloud gaming (GeForce Now or VK Play). But I can't install any cheats or any other applications when playing through cloud gaming. Game ID's: 7005826355, 7005724064, 7005756191, 7005777292, 7005801406, 6985764702, 6985791255.

Also, I could never have any viruses or anything, because my computer is used for work and i care about safety. For the same reason, I would never install/run any cheats, because you never know what viruses and trojans it might contain. But at the same time I could have other programs (only official and verified) which at some time can use a lot of computer resources and RAM (such as Node JS and Chia Mining).

Finally

I hope I have provided enough information and facts for you to review my undeserved ban. This is an error in your ban system or my computer / memory failure, but this is not a reason to consider me a cheater, because I didn't receive any unfair advantage. In the end, you only need to review 1-3 games (if it's a memory bug and "cheats" was used 1-3 times) or check/analyze replays (if "cheats" were always used).

This is just a guess, but excessive reports / bad behaviour can ban you as well. if you spent a lot of time farm jungle you probably get a lot of reports as well?

I sometimes get LP but still have 8500 BHS. Steam Support answered me 4 times - banned for third-party applications for cheats.

Of course, if I knew the Game ID(s) for which the ban was given, I could provide much more evidence that it was not a cheat or find an error in this autoban system why this happened. But I don't know and I have to prove, considering all 600 games in the last weeks, which I do.
