I just did a new build on Solus, play Tekken a lot so it was great to hear I can play on Linux now so I went to try but I keep getting the error on title.

The same happens with Yakuza 0 which makes me think it is Denuvo? screenshot from 2018-08-30 19-12-14

@ianian58 I have this issue when running Steam (Native). Steam (Runtime) doesn't cause me the server connection error.

I too have this issue when running steam-native (and also with Yakuza 0). With steam-runtime all is good.

The game worked for me just the other day, but now I am having this issue.

I discovered that it works with the steam runtimes, but not with native runtimes.

try launching steam with STEAM_RUNTIME=1 steam as a possible workaround.
