My issue is now fixed!

cagelight commented 3 years ago

This game will not launch for me on any Proton version newer than 5.0-10. There seems to have been some sort of regression.

Hello @cagelight, please add PROTON_LOG=1 %command% to the game's launch options, reproduce the regression, and attach the generated $HOME/steam-$APPID.log to this issue report as a file. (Proton logs compress well if needed.) Also, please copy your system information from Steam (Steam -> Help -> System Information) and put it in a gist, then include a link to the gist in this issue report.

@cagelight Do you have any mods installed? I didn't see a problem launching the regular game on 6.3-4 or Experimental.

cagelight commented 3 years ago

No mods, this was a 100% fresh install after having just purchased the game. I started at Proton Experimental and walked backwards to 5.0-10, which is the first version it worked at.

cagelight commented 3 years ago

Also for what it's worth, I play many games with Proton Experimental just fine, so I would tend to believe it's some sort of niche issue with this game and my system.
