Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition (237110) #1185

Open minisori opened 6 years ago

minisori commented 6 years ago

The game is totally playable but has a problem with the controller, at times the xbox360 wireless controller acts as a generic controller, (showing the numbered buttons instead of xbox buttons). Probably is detected as 2 gamepads, this is very noticeable in the menus. This bug is present also at Rember Me and The King Of Fighters XIII Steam Edition.

Both Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition, and Remember Me work with my Logitech F310. I get the proper xbox buttons ingame with the controller in both xinput and dinput mode. Are you using an official Microsoft xbox wireless controller or a nockoff?

minisori commented 6 years ago

Official and xpad.

More info, i noticed in then controller config of King of fiighter XIII that the controller and the wireless receiver are both listed as controller, if you move the sticks it's detected as input for both, if you press a button is detected as the wireless. I suspect mortal kombat, remember me and probably some older dinput games are having a similar problem.

Game is crashing on launch with Proton 7.0-2, and working fine with 6.3-8. steam-237110.log.tar.gz

Hello @ranplayer, please copy your system information from Steam (Steam -> Help -> System Information) and put it in a gist, then include a link to the gist in this issue report.

Hello @kisak-valve, I've compressed the specs as a tar.gz: steam-specs.txt.tar.gz

aeikum commented 2 years ago

@ranplayer Thanks for reporting. We believe this should be fixed with today's Experimental release, and in a future Proton 7.0 release.

ranplayer commented 2 years ago

@aeikum, no worries. I'm glad to help. I've just tested with the latest Experimental release and it is working again. Thank you for quick fix.

P.S: I believe this sound issue was also affecting Star Wars Battlefront II (1237950) on my end. Now it doesn't crash on launch with Experimental as well.

ranplayer commented 1 year ago

The game now hangs in a black screen for 15-20 seconds during the launch process every time you start it. It's happening with Proton 7.0-6 and 8.0-1. Mesa issue, perhaps ?
