Compatibility Report

System Information

I confirm:

I was able to play the full main story + origin story without any kind of bug. Online feature works too. I played with a Steam controller. The main issue was to be able to connect to Uplay and play the game without installing steam inside proton.

jonbitzen commented 5 years ago

I tried running this game and didn't have success. I briefly got the UPlay spash screen but then it disappeared without giving me a chance to login. Subsequent attempts to run it don't even produce the splash screen. Brief system info:

GPU: nVidia GTX 970 Driver: 4.15.23 Linux Mint 19 Kernel: 4.15.0-42-generic Proton Version: 3.16.5

I suspect there are issues similar to this bug report on Far Cry 3 with UPlay: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/727. I'm aware that there has (supposedly?) been corefontutils support since 3.16.4, but I believe some of the contortions to install TLS may be at issue yet, or maybe there's been a regression (?)

Inglebard commented 5 years ago

Hi, I can confirm the issue. I can see Uplay process running be I not able to access the window.

Proton:3.16-6 Distro:Debian GNU/Linux 9.7 (stretch) (64 bits) Kernel:4.20.5 RAM:6 GB GPU Driver:NVIDIA 415.22.05 GPU:NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 CPU:AMD Phenom II X6 1090T

if you bypass uplay the game work without issue,it strange to hack a game that i've bought.

murlakatamenka commented 5 years ago

Same, the game just crashes during intro, using cracked dll's to bypass Uplay works. Well, **ck Uplay then.

Compatibility Report

System Information

Symptoms

FIRST LOG: steam-242550first.log

UPlay installs successfully, but does not recogize Rayman Legends first run.

SECOND LOG: steam-242550.log

Second launch will ask you to link your Steam account. I did not do this, and skipped that. Then UPlay informs you that its linking Rayman Legends to your UPlay account through Steam. I clicked continue, it did a thing, then launched the game.

The game itself runs great, except there was no audio for the intro cinematic for the game.

image The freshly installed game produces this error with any proton version (tried exp, 7 and 5.13) in an flatpak install on latest fedora. It does not launch with the non-flatpak version too :(

jonbitzen commented 2 years ago

GPU: AMD 6700XT Driver/LLVM version: Mesa 22.1.2 Kernel version: 5.18.8 Full system report: https://gist.github.com/jonbitzen/fe51b30c4c55889fa78e82396b5f8f2e Proton version: 7.03

Also note that I am running the game using the steamcompmgr compositor from SteamOS 2.

The game seems to be going in slow motion. Sort of like a mario game where you're underwater and they slow everything down for effect. Except it is all the time. Interestingly the entry menu isn't slow. But the game itself is, and anytime you open a menu while actually playing the game it is slow.

Attached is the proton log.

Uplay launcher no longer updates

reedlove commented 1 year ago

Uplay seems to be updating again, making Rayman Legends playable.
