Game log

Symptoms

1.) Choppy sound/animation. Game appears to be running too fast. Music and animation seem to be synchronized with each other but both are roughly 25-50% too fast.

2.) Launcher has broken text. I have set font smoothing on in wine. Other wine applications look great. ( I know what I'm doing.) Text appears cut off around inner margines. See below. Screenshot-from-2018-11-16-23-36-23.png Screenshot-from-2018-11-16-23-46-02.png

Reproduction

Run Arch linux, install proton & steam & FF6.

Same problem with my laptop:

edit: I just tried to run it with Proton 4.2-2 and it works great!

Haven't noticed any cut off text nor any speed issues in Proton 3.7-8 (select by Valve-testing). :tada:

Been very playable up until South Figaro, where buying something in the shop seems to cause the game to crash and burn :disappointed:

Hello @adrianlshaw, looks like the crash you found is happening on Windows as well.

adrianlshaw commented 5 years ago

Didn’t realise that. Then I’ll say the game runs perfectly! Crashed as expected :-)
