Instructions for version 1.0 and upwards

The single player mode, cut scenes, tutorial and the game run relatively smoothly. Controller is responsive but perhaps a tad sluggish. There are several steps to follow in order to make the game run:

• Install d3dcompiler_47.dll using Protontricks. (fixing issue: blank screen)
• Uninstall both Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 and 2017 and reinstall only the VC++ 2017 redistributable using Protontricks. A system cannot have both installed because they are conflicting. (fixing issue: Loading Tyro Valey)
• Create a symbolic link to your system's GNU TLS library in Steam's pinned libs directory. (fixing multiplayer)

  • Installing GNU TLS libraries: sudo yum install gnutls.{i686,x86_64}
  • 32 bits library: ln -s /usr/lib/libgnutls.so.30.6.2 ~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/pinned_libs_32/libgnutls.so.26

  • Ubuntu:
    • Installing GNU TLS libraries: apt-get install libgnutls:{i386,x86_64}

• Requires a fresh install without being played on; reinstall if necessary.
• Rename or delete _CommonRedist directory in the game's main directory.
• Install Visual C++ Redistribuable 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2017 (instead of 2015) using protontricks.
• Install DXVK 0.96 and remember to set the prefix to Windows 7 before running the game.

Note: Fullscreen requires to change the settings in game and then alt-enter.

Symptoms

• Some visual glitches (see screenshots).
• Moving the camera increases the glitches.
• Multiplayer is not working (see attached log).

Reproduction

The few visual glitches should be obvious once playing game. Right analog stick to move the camera around.

Go to Play > Multiplayer to connect to a server.

I have the missing D3X11 issue now (latest Proton 4.2).

Install Visual C++ Redistribuable 2017 using protontricks/winetricks should do it. Seems that it's better to install over the current one rather than uninstall/reinstalling.

Unfortunately, now the game doesn't detect my DualShock 4 controller anymore. It won't work directly nor using steam controller settings. Anyone else got this problem?

We should better wait for support then. Using protontricks/winetricks is I guess not supported.
