Here's the log from a vanilla Slave Zero install and Proton 4.11-10.
In all fairness, I had a very hard time getting Slave Zero to work on native Windows 7 back in 2012 before I fully migrated over to Linux. I did end up using nGlide to run the game with 3D acceleration, because D3D at the time was bugged. This was before someone made a Direct3D patch (2015).
This looks like the line of interest from the log: wine: Unhandled privileged instruction at address 0x41d849 (thread 0030), starting debugger...
Crash at launch with vanilla install using nGlide.

Crashes at launch using Slave Zero D3D patch (https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/546-slave-zero-direct3d-patch/).
PATCHED D3D.DLL WITH ORIGINAL EXE: steam-328470orgexe.log
Game will launch and get to the loading screen, then crashes to desktop with patched exe.
PATCHED D3D.DLL WITH PATCHED EXE: steam-328470newexe.log
Here are some logs using the same specs as above, but with the newest nGlide installed.
Both graphics APIs crash on launch, just like old vanilla nGlide bundled with the game.
NGLIDE 2.10 D3D BACKEND: steam-328470nglided3d.log
NGLIDE 2.10 VULKAN BACKEND: steam-328470nglidevulkan.log
Was able to get this game running using the instructions here, but like the people in the discussion, only on the Steam Deck: https://steamcommunity.com/app/328470/discussions/0/3425563679848533975/?tscn=1655145275
Tried following the steps on the Deck using the GOG version of this game, can confirm it doesn't work: szDebug.txt indicates that the game can't initalize the video renderer. Unfortunately, even on Windows 10 on the Deck, both 3DFX and D3D versions crash out with the same error. It doesn't even show a loading screen, it stays on a black/white window for 2-15 seconds before crashing, regardless of OS, Proton version or settings.

This game crashes at boot, even when the newest nGLide version is applied.
