I think most older PopCap games run perfectly in Proton, better than they do in Wine actually. This includes from my testing (omitting the Deluxe suffix):

Big Money
Insaniquarium
Astropop
Zuma
Talismania
Heavy Weapon
Dynomite
Bejeweled 3

Symptoms

The game screen will black out - sound keeps playing for a while, until it freezes
Game has to be killed via terminal or similar, will not respond to close, alt-f4, etc
Other than that, the game seems to be playable

Reproduction

Start the game
Alt-Tab to a different window
The game will minimize
Switch back to the game
See symptoms.
This happens whether I'm using the steam runtime or native libraries.

I've experienced an issue with this game where if you run it in windowed mode and drag the window onto a second display the game rendering freezes. Dragging it back to the main display fixes it.

everytime i launch the game i get a black screen with sound playing, to fix this i have to press ctrl+alt+d and then shift+f8 which enables 3d acceleration. have to do this everytime i open the game for some reason.
