Symptoms

Game freezes with a black screen during startup

Reproduction

Happens with DXVK and WineD3D. Always freezes after displaying the first loading image.

Exact same symptoms on my Intel processor with Nvidia graphics card.

Symptoms

Everytime i launch the game it keeps giving me the "Fatal error!" Issue and it's annoying me

FYI, it is now playable with Proton-5.8-GE-1-MF. First 2 splash screen videos still don't play, but you can now skip them with a button press and reach the main menu

Current changes on Arch made the game unplayable on Proton 5.0 (the only one that works for me). It complains about missing libcrypt.so.1

I noticed on my i5-13600K setup, I have to use the workaround listed in this thread (Using OPENSSL_ia32cap=0x20000000 %command% as a launch parameter) in order to get the game to not crash on me: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/5830
