Symptoms

The game starts but it stays with a black screen

Reproduction

Start the game on Steam

A few notes:

Disabling d9vk fixes the black screen and the game seems to work nicely. Using the latest Proton GE (Probably with the latest d9vk as well) starts the game but it plays very slowly therefore unplayable.

Hello @Thinkaboutmin, fixme:vulkan:X11DRV_vkCreateWin32SurfaceKHR Application requires child window rendering, which is not implemented yet points towards https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45277.

I see, then in newer versions maybe the patch was merged? As I mentioned before Proton GE (it uses Wine 5.4 or maybe there's some wacky patch that solves it too) started the game the only issue was the low fps. Testing it with Windows would conclude if the fps issue is a Wine problem or a d9vk problem...

Game has a major problem on proton despite being deck verified, testing on the latest Experimental build. Noticed the performance is kinda jank (Dunno if it's a proton thing or not), but the game has a major softlock on the name entry screen on arcade mode once you get a game over. As soon as you finish entering your name and press start, the prompt on the bottom vanishes and you are stuck until you manually close the game.

Highly recommend the game be bumped down to unsupported until this gets fixed. download (1) steam-229810.log

Performance still seems to be wonky on my le oled deck and the game still soft locks when you try to enter your high score initials after getting a game over in arcade mode.
