Symptoms

After the october update, human fall flat ceased to work on my setup (proton version). The game starts but there is a flesh white screen. I can hear the music of the OST but no luck to go forward. even the steam overlay doesn't seem to be responsive.

Reproduction

Launch the game (trying proton 4.x and 5.x included 5.13-1).

Hello @dragonfly-lover, please add PROTON_LOG=1 %command% to the game's launch options and attach the generated $HOME/steam-$APPID.log to this issue report as a file. (Proton logs compress well if needed.)

steam-477160.zip Getting issue, when playing like "host" on linux via latest proton. Similar to error above, I think.

477160_crash.log The game crashes regularly for my friend. I attached a log.

Ryzen 9 5950x, AMD Radeon 6900 XT running Pop OS 22.04

The full size of the log is over 200mb so I snipped it down to where it crashed.

Game still crashes when i play online with my friends. Are there any ongoing workaround or is it abandoned?

I have the same issue. I'd love a workaround or solution.

Ogowith2os's issue in VTube Studio is also simiarly present in Human Fall Flat. There is an option to customize your character with the camera in Human Fall Flat, but it's not possible to open the camera.

Two year later and the game still crashes :( It doesn't matter you are host or client connected to host.
