Your system information

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

So far i this only happend to me in 2 games ( Resident Evil 4 and 5 ) that the game has some sounds but others it doesn't and this only happends if i start the game with the controller plugged in, if i open the game and then plug it after it doesn't happend and its wierd cause when it happends it's not just for the 3.5mm cause if then i change ingame the output to my monitor/usb and bluetooth headset the bug is still there and only by starting the game without the controller plugged fixes it.

Also tried without the soldier steam runtime but then the haptics on the controller just vibrate non stop when i launch the game.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Not sure if affects it but i have the playstation config enabled on big picture
  2. Plug in the controller
  3. Start the game and go to any level (cause on menu sounds fine)

Hello @NikoBellicRU, this reads like a general audio issue and not specific to the Steam client.

These games are not native Linux games, so I'm guessing you're running them with Proton and tentatively transferred this issue report to the Proton issue tracker, but it might make more sense to report this issue to the pulseaudio dev(s).
