Symptoms

The game launcher starts but it will crash with a "general exception" when trying to start the actual game from the launcher.

Reproduction

Install steam through wine/lutris/use proton through steam. Install Conquerors blade through steam, launch it, the launcher will start. Download the game. Click on Play in the launcher to start the game and the game will not start. If you start the "proven_ground_client.exe" manually it will start, however in chinese localization and without any steam integration.

I think a fix might be around the corner considering the international version of Conquerors blade with steamappid 835570 seems to work quite well.

Please let me know what i can do to assist developing a fix for this game.

FYI: the part in the proton log where i launch the game and it crashes is Line 4627:

Is someone else here having extreme slowdown/lag issues in the game? I should have enough specs but the longer I play the more lag I get: RTX 3090ti i7 13700k

FYI the original 905370 edition has been retired in favour of 835570, I wasn't sure if I should open a new issue or keep this one - please let me know if I need to move it to a new issue.

This game no longer boots on Proton 9 (and experimental), but does boot on Proton 8 and 7 however it crashes to desktop after a few seconds.

Symptoms

On Proton 9.0-3 and Proton Experimental the game fails to launch, giving an error: On proton 8.0-5 and earlier the game boots, successfully logs in to the character creator before crashing a few seconds later.

Reproduction

Launch game (835570) through steam with the various proton versions and wait for the errors.
