Symptoms

When I launch the game I get an error saying: The following components are required to run this program: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime

I tried to resolve this with protontricks, but it didn't help.

In the last update they added Easy anti-cheat, so I guess this doesn't matter anymore.

Tried the last game patch with the latest proton experimental and game actually worked and launched. I got into main menu but didn't try to play a game because I'm pretty sure easy anti cheat wasn't loaded. Here is the new proton log. I don't know what to look for to see if anti cheat is working correctly.

Propnight recently added Linux BattlEye support and it worked on 7.0-1 but the game refuses to boot on 7.0-2

voice chat for this game refuses to work you can hold the push to talk button but people can't hear you. You also cannot hear other users, there is no way to change input, the output is set to PulseAudio

Game refuses to start on any version of Proton other than 6.3-8 and 7.0-1.

Game refuses to run after this commit ec4f1586666a2851803fe1b384793acb992b141f(update wine)

You can run the game on Proton 6.3-8 or Proton 7.2-GE-2

The issue in battleye and appears after this patch 3995bb9b622cc309610f91952b10ed7e54c2a531(battleye: Add launcher process instead of redirecting CreateProcess call)

So, since the game has been successfully patched and unfortunately today the game servers will officially be closed I think it's safe to close the issue with this game
