Symptoms

Checking the "screen setting" box in the launcher, then pressing start produces the following error in a window:

Dialog creation error
Error in NiRendererTabController::InitDialog()
Unable to save class pointer using
SetWindowLongPtr().
Windows reports error 0x57a:
Invalid cursor handle.

Thankfully I can still launch and play the game without this, albeit locked at a low 4:3 resolution.

Reproduction

This happens every time I attempt to open the screen settings. Redownloading the game did not solve the issue, and switching to an earlier Proton build may have put the installscript into a loop (I'm not quite certain about that one). One ProtonDB user (https://www.protondb.com/users/1270404502) reported the same issue eight months ago while using Proton 6.3-6, so it seems this isn't entirely unique to me.

Upon launching the game today, the Screen Setting menu worked just fine, so I'm assuming the 7.0-3 update fixed it. The launcher still has black pixels around the Screen Setting text (something I forgot to mention in my original post), sadly, but hopefully the game itself will still run alright when I test that later.
