Symptoms

After a game launch and initial loading screen, game just freezes with black screen. Earlier Proton versions crash after initial loading screen and display error message "Cannot initialize windows video playback".

Reproduction

Launch a game with any Proton version (including Proton-GE)

@Blisto91 Thanks for your reply and suggestion, but unfortunately it didn't help, same result with different proton versions.

Update:

Game works now:

• Without cinematics using Proton Next (7.0.5) and latest Proton Experimental
• With cinematics (except the initial logo video) using GE-Proton7-41

So I would say using Proton-GE it should now be possible to fully enjoy the game.
