Symptoms

There are three options to start the game:

• True Love '95, which gives error missing executable True Love '95/TL_RenPy/TrueLove.exe - Steam database information has a problem with this?
• classic windowed mode, which gives a small animation and then is stuck in black screen
• classic fullscreen mode, which does not open a window (logs attached)

Reproduction

1. start the game
2. select the game from three options (see above)
3. observe error, black screen or nothing at all happening

With this the fullscreen-version works same way as the windowed version: it opens a window and then stops with black screen. Without it fullscreen-version does not do even that.

Filesystem is ext4 so that shouldn't be a problem, it is not "external" drive either (not a removable drive, internally mounted) if that is what you are asking. Various other games on same drive are working fine so it isn't that.

Looks like there is opt-in beta-version for that renpy-made version. So after opting in for that the TL_renpy version works.
