Symptoms

• Main menu renders a blank square

• Gamepad and keyboard input stop working after first input press

• I've also tried to launch it with PROTON_USE_WINED3D, but the result is the same.

• Native version has the same symptoms.

• This game used to play well before on my end (I was using a Nvidia GPU with Proton 7.0 the last time I tested it). Mesa issue, perhaps ?

I was able to make this game work again. It's another case of bad/corrupted settings uploaded to the cloud that produces the bug discussed above. For someone reason this game is not displaying the Cloud options on the General settings (although it uses it), so you have to manually erase its cloud data using a different approach.

1) exit Steam 2) disconnect from network 3) delete the content from the remote settings folder (/home/$USER/.steam/steam/userdata/$id/621970) 4) launch Steam in offline mode 5) boot the game (the white square issue will be gone). 6) on the game settings, click on the option to erase your saved data 7) close the game and reboot steam with the network activated

This game seems to be working fine with Proton 9.0-2. I haven't spotted issues so far.
