Compatibility Report

System Information

I confirm:

Log file with DX11: steam-482400.log Log file with DX12: steam-482400_DX12.log

The help text on the map is distorted, and it's impossible to read what it says, here's a screenshot on how it looks: 20230603174743_1 And here's a screenshot I found online on how it should look: grafik

I've tested with RADV and amdvlk, both are affected.

Reproduction

Switching the language from German to English fixed the help text, not sure if this only affects the Proton version or is happening on Windows as well. Does anyone have Windows installed and could test it?

This game's demo isn't installable on the Steam Deck. I'm running the latest Steam beta client and SteamOS 3.5 from the main branch. It wasn't installable on the stable Steam client on a regular Linux system either. It reported a total installation size of 0 bytes. Repair and reinstall didn't do anything.

The demo is important for those who want to check if the game runs on their hardware.

@unclejack That's an issue which needs to be resolved by the developers/publisher of the game. The demo once had a Linux version and now that has been removed, but it still is configured as it would have one. You will have to force Proton as compatibility tool in your Library to download the Windows build.

I wasn't aware they had a Linux version before. Thanks!

It's language specific issue. Only english version has proper text rendering in minimap.

This is the second Unreal Engine game that has the frame rate drop to less than half while my DS4 controller is rumbling (once again I'm not actually using my controller it's just plugged in). The first was Boltgun. Disconnecting the controller results in a stable frame rate.

Here is a picture showing frame rate dips as I repeatedly strike something with the pipe:
