Update:

• I had this issue where I was able to install the game but it would not start (Steam would show as it is running but then just crashes seconds later with no error displayed or in the log)
• After installing it on a different partition, game starts and works very well (Proton 8.0-2)
• Yay!

Tested this through proton 8.0-2 and while I didn't play through the game, I also saw no crashing. I don't even know if your crashing is at the main menu or after starting a new game, but I played for a few minutes and encountered no crash

Hi @simifor, thanks for giving it a try. I swear I did everything I could think of 2 weeks ago to make it work, reinstalled it multiple times, tried various launch parameters, no joy. After your comment, I reinstalled it again and used a different partition this time (this is the only game on that partition)... and it works perfectly. I was not even able to start it before. (there was no error shown)

I am super happy to see this, will update my first comment and my ProtonDB report accordingly, thanks again for your effort.
