Compatibility Report

System Information

I confirm:

steam-2229890.log

Symptoms

When launching into the game, the mouse is locked to the left corner of the screen. Then when you get in-game, the mouse is un-usable, with small movement of the mouse causes the camera to spin around like crazy.

Seeing this log alot in the proton log, so could be related:

128640.989:0170:01c0:fixme:dinput:dinput_mouse_rawinput_hook Unimplemented MOUSE_VIRTUAL_DESKTOP flag

Reproduction

Launch the game try to use the mouse

For this issue, it looks like it was related to having multiple mice dongles, after I unplugged one, it started working. Strange since the other one the mouse was disabled but it may have been confused by having multiple mice.

.NET on a 2002 game?

Sora012 commented 6 months ago

That's because the user installed Tiberian Technologies scripts and submitted a log containing it, TT scripts use dotnet and heavily modify the game, and fix up issues and add new features. The original game doesn't use dotnet.

I was having mouse issues with only a single mouse until I used gamescope with "--force-grab-cursor" parameter and that resolved it on my end.

Thr issue came back for me with one mouse, not sure why it changed. Was having trouble building gamescope on my system, so for now it's unusable

The game crashes on lv7 when you open a door with enemies inside. and crash constantly on any resolution above 1920x1080

For me it was crashing on UHD full-screen. Windowed seems okay, though. Unmodified game on standard Proton 9.
