I confirm:

Symptoms

Game randomly blackscreens and crashes. At first the picture freezes, music working and you can move the mouse. After a while black screen. After a while Steam deck restarts with "Installation check".

Sometimes it happens after long periods, others its more frequent. One time it crashed while the deck was idle.

Reproduction

Start the game on Steam Deck and wait for the random crash to happen. Can take seconds, minutes or hours ...

Misc

Should I test any Runtime Config Options?

@IDragonfire I had the game open for 2 hours and couldn't get it to crash. Any more information you could give? Like how long it took to roughly crash in your experience? Or if it is more likely to crash in more advanced runs when you have more planets and what not.

@IDragonfire I tried a few more times and have yet to reproduce the issue. Are you using mods with this game or does this happen in a specific game mode?

Hello @simifor, thank you very much for your effort. I have no mods installed. I tried both standard runs and campaign, and it crashes in both modes. Most of the time, it crashes when I'm just looking at the map and thinking about what to do next.

@IDragonfire Could you look for the unity log file after the game crashes and upload it here? If you know how to find the game's prefix, then you go inside that and look for users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/Bettlewing/slipways/ and there should be a file called Player.log which will correspond to your last play session (this file will be created regardless of the game crashing).

@IDragonfire I couldn't use the save file, it seems like the game just ignored it, maybe it requires sharing the whole save folder instead? I also couldn't find an invite to the discord server, the one in the steam forums is apparently invalid now..

@IDragonfire that's the same invite that's on steam but I can't use it to join, if I try from the client it says that the invite expired, and if I try from the browser it just says I couldn't join without specifying why.
