@CreeperofDoom I couldn't get the game or deck to crash by playing with the window type and aspect ratio options on either steamos stable or beta. Please go to the game's properties and add this to the launch parameters: PROTON_LOG=1 %command%
After you do that, open the game and seek to crash it. In your deck's home folder, you'll find a file called steam-1277930.log
. Upload it here, compress it if it is too big.

steam-1277930.log Got it to crash the entire device by changing Fullscreen to Windowed in the game settings I also tried the Community Driven GE-Proton (seen in the log) and it has the same Device Crashing issues, along with the rarely Flickering, as well as degraded performance.
Before you ask anymore questions yes i did it for Proton Experimental too, Doing the same thing made it hard crash the device. with all the issues still present. the Defaulted Proton 9 has the same issues
@CreeperofDoom sorry for being annoying and asking for more stuff, but could you run this on your deck after a crash and upload the result? steamos-systemreport > joker-report.log
You can paste it in a terminal while on desktop mode, and it should be stored in the joker-report.log
file in your home folder as well.

joker-report.log Done. got it to crash the whole device by changing it to windowed in the Affected Game Settings, Made the log after it occured. (Game ran using Proton Experimental)
The Device Hard Crashing / Reboot issue did occur during normal play in my experience, which was VERY annoying. This hard crashing issue only seems to occur with this title. Graphical Issues occur on all Proton Versions
Other titles such as Super Demanding ones (EX: God of War, Ghost of Tsushima and Assassin's Creed Origins) never make my Device Hard Crash like this. I did try removing Decky Loader from my System (seen in the log) removing it didn't change a thing
@CreeperofDoom it should be noted that while you have the stable branch selected, the report says you were on 3.6.9, which is steamos beta. Regardless, I tried to crash it from settings again and I couldn't trigger it.

Hmm. I am using the Stable Build, I switched from Beta to Stable to make the Log and Report by Making it crash using the affected Title. I usually keep Switching it to 4:3 and 16:9, Window To Fullscreen in the affected Game settings which makes the entire device crash. This hardware crashing problem DID occur during normal play some time ago which was irritating
Stutter and Performance Issues in this game seem to be caused by a broken Pre-Compiled Shader Cache. The Shader Cache size is at a massive 5 Gigabytes.
However, If i delete the Shader Cache and then boot the affected title offline the stutter issue is fixed, and the cache size isn’t massive. (Booting the title online tries to force a redownload of the broken cache)
I very much doubt Valve or somebody will try and fix this issue

Symptoms
Riddle Joker: This game available on Steam has various issues on Steam Deck. The Steam Deck will occasionally either Shut Down or Lock up when running this game. forcing the user to hold the Power Button to turn it off.
This seems to be the only title to be affected by this on my System.
This game also has massive Frame Rate drops randomly, Strange because this title is Very Lightweight.
This title seems to have some Graphical Issues, such as Flickering (Epilepsy Hazard)
Video Playback in this title is broken due to Missing Windows Media Player codecs.
The Shader Cache size is Odd and inconsistent: When i first downloaded this game the Shader Cache size was at about 200MB. Then it much later it downloaded a 900MB Cache, then months later it downloaded a 2 Gigabyte Cache. And now the Cache is 4 Gigabytes. One time this games Shader Cache size jumped up to 24 Gigabytes on my System. This bricked my device due to no available disk space, and forced me to boot into a Recovery Media to remove the Shader Cache.
No Hardware Modifications were done, No BIOS settings were altered
Reproduction
Run the Game "Riddle Joker" with Proton Experimental. Try Changing the Fullscreen to Windowed, or changing its Aspect Ratio in the Game settings which forces the device to freeze or shut off. This also occurs even when not doing those things on my device.
