Ohh looks like the bug with EAC not installed message is the game problem. Dev responded on their discord that it gets this message every first launch, but you can just join another match and then it goes fine. They are looking into that issue.
Only get an error message on start up:
I've tried Proton versions: 9.0.3, Experimental and GE 9_18-1.
Specs: https://linux-hardware.org/?probe=0c8904d7c7 Proton 9.0.3 Log: steam-2078450.log
Compatibility Report
System Information
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3080
Video driver version: 560.35.03
Kernel version: 6.11
Link to full system information report: sysinfo.txt
Proton version: proton-experimental
I confirm:
Proton log: steam-2078450.log
Symptoms:
Easy Anticheat doesn't seem to install itself correctly. Getting kicked from game with message about EAC not installed. The game has InstallEasyAnticheat.cmd file in its EAC folder with contentsEasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe install 38173d91a96e44c1ad2d5d5175847461
If i manually run:`WINEPREFIX="/mnt/nvmedrive/SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata/2078450/pfx""/mnt/SSDGames/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Proton - Experimental/files/bin/wine""/mnt/nvmedrive/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/WHSF1/EasyAntiCheat/EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe" install 38173d91a96e44c1ad2d5d5175847461`basically, prefix, proton experimental location and launching the EAC setup.exe with the parameters from the cmd file. I can play 1 match ingame and then it breaks again.Developers on the steam forums responded that one of the team members playing on steam deck just fine. So i think its just some setup issue with the easy anticheat.
Update: The Message about EAC problem in game on the first launch on matchmaking can be ignored and just queue to new match again. Developers are aware of that and are investigating the issue.
