Symptoms

Game doesn't launch with latest Proton version 9, GE or experimental. Switching to 5.13-6 as per https://www.protondb.com/app/1737870 let's the game run.

Reproduction

Try launching the game with a current Proton version.

Note: My wife is currently playing the game so I cannot attach logs for the failure state, but I wanted to create this report while I still had the energy (I'm chronically ill).

Hello @bjoern-tantau, if/when you get around to grabbing a log, please also see if you can figure out the newest version of Proton that runs the game, and the oldest with trouble. There's several years between Proton 5.13 and Proton 9.0.
