[HL2 EP2] Game freeze after fixing plug too quickly #1098

It's possible to make the game impossible to proceed if you fix the plug as soon as Alyx pushes it down to you. First, she says go for it, you work too quickly, she goes back to idle animation.

Perhaps make the plug come down a little later (around a second) to avoid this?

Can you type "status" into the game console and "getpos" when this happens and post it here please.

Issue still hasn't been fixed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CClpWn2C7QE Here's a demo of this occuring. It's replicatable and can even happen in the HL2 multiplayer mod Synergy.

@lucialambda I suppose there is some way to fix the softlock... using a lump patch named ep2_outland_01_l_1.lmp that keeps the plug immobile until Alyx finishes talking?
