Hoping this still has a shot at being added!
I believe the commands exist in TF2 but may be marked as hidden/cheat cvars so they cannot be accessed in the console. Either way they should still be brought back.

I would really like this in game.
In CS:GO, CS:S, HL2DM and other Source mods there is a feature that "sways" the weapon viewmodel with the player's camera movement by lagging it behind a little bit. However, it is not present in TF2 for some reason.
The commands are: cl_wpn_sway_interp (default 0.1) cl_wpn_sway_scale (default 1.0)
The files related to this were found in the Source SDK 2013 github: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/source-sdk-2013/blob/master/mp/src/game/shared/predicted_viewmodel.cpp#L43
Can this be added to the TF branch?
