Option two is the only viable one, and I think it has merit. Options 1 and 3 both ignore the wisdom behind the initial change.
I would suggest reverting to the original version or at least doubling the range. Also it would be nice to at least have like, mini crits at long range? Right now the Revolver is much better at close range and the Ambassador is basically useless at long range.
As of the Jungle Inferno update the "Ambossador" got 2 atribute changes which are, not being able to headshot players over 1200 HU and critical headshots are affected to damage range falloff.
With the second attribute the ambossador became a gun which is not usefull in mid-range fights.
Hitting your shots wont reward the players as much as using the revolver and taking out a player less in 1.5 seconds (assuming that you hit all your shots).
My suggestion is:
-Either to, remove the stats of the damage falloff
-or to extend the range where the damage falloff starts
-or invert the damage falloff effect that it deals max crit damage when hitting players starting from around 840HU-1200HU and min crit damage when hitting players who are closer.
