[TF2] Feature request. Halloween spell potions. #2788

Is there any chance that these could be added back? It's really a shame such cool items haven't been made available since 2014 and having them come back would really make scream fortress events more interesting again. In order to prevent them from being traded to ALT's just keep the potions untradable but still usable on items.

Please bring them back. Soul gargoyles are boring.

There's two ways I can see spells being added back to the game.

One way to introduce them back is inside crates, however these crates are a separate version of the 2014 spooky crates, They are already unlocked and can be opened during scream fortress events. The spells themselves will remain untradable but can still be applied to items and keep the items trade-ability.

The crates themselves can be unlocked any time during scream fortress events and will expire just like the spells do after an event is over, even if the account isn't logged in.

Rather than buying the crates these crates could be obtained by either completing Halloween contracts and can be received alongside a Halloween package, or add them in a similar fashion to the old Halloween gifts that were replaced by Soul gargoyles, it'd be a random chance of either a Soul gargoyle or a Halloween gift appearing on whichever Halloween map your playing on.

A second way to add these back is add a system which would allow new items to have a chance to have spells pre-applied to them. Essentially during Halloween events, any hats/skins/weapons crafted/unboxed or earned during the event have a chance to have a spell pre-applied to the item depending on what item it is it can either be a cosmetic spell for cosmetics or weapon spells for weapons, and if the weapon supports having 2 spells such as wrenches or flame throwers then those could have the chance to have 2 spells pre-applied to them.

This is an old feature request but, I think an easier way would be to include them as a bonus in the Halloween Packages. (Similar to Spellbook Pages and the current year's case.) Its easier to do that than adding back the Pile of Curses or Haunted Halloween Gifts.

May aswell keep the potions themselves trade locked as it's clear traders can't be trusted with them with the loophole of trading spells to alt accounts to keep them from expiring before Tough Break fixed that.
