This issue isn't part of specifically CS:GO but it should do the same thing there. I found this while playing TF2, I was in a casual match when I got kicked for "Your system is blocking the VAC system." I have no debuggers or cheat software running, I recently traded, but I doubt that's the cause. I have not seen this message prior to today, the servers were down for a bit, so I assume this is a anti bot patch which is affecting real players. I cannot play TF2 and CS:GO or anything with VAC.
from what package manager was steam installed from? apt? snap or flatpak?
i am on opensuse which shares some components with ubuntu adn games work for me
