By the way, is there any method to disable font antialiasing in the options, servers and console windows ?

Same resolution for me and I cant read servers list because of too tiny fonts.

+1 Not sure of my resolution but I also have small fonts which are hard to read

I can confirm this for 1600 by 900 as well. It probably bears mentioning (as your first screenshot demonstrates) that the window itself is too small by default and has to be manually resized every time the game is restarted.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, the chat fields and scoreboard suffer from this as well. I'm guessing it's an issue with the font it uses as a fallback for systems that don't have Tahoma (or Verdana; I can never tell the difference between those two).

+1 also small font size in tf2.

sunnybubblegum commented 11 years ago

+1, very small font size on Counter-Strike: Source and Team Fortress 2 game server lists (1680 x 1050). In-game chat size is equally small and difficult to read.

+1, some Counter-Strike: Source screenshots: http://imgur.com/a/Jx19S

+1 same issue here, barely readable font in TF2

One thousand and a quadrillion years after world has been destroyed: Is this now fixed/any workaround available?

cheshire-mouse commented 2 years ago

oh my... it was fixed long-long-long ... long-long-long ago (at least for me) it can be closed, i think if there is still some problem, this is definitely not the same issue it was in 2013

Do you know if that was also fixed in CS:S? I did test it there not long time ago, but there is still existed.

cheshire-mouse commented 2 years ago

sorry, i don't know about CS:S issue

Needs retesting specifically for TF2 given the Linux font rendering updates in the recent 64 bit update.
