[TF2] [Feature Request] Scream Fortress should have a separate category for Matchmacking. #5207

I suggested a while ago that Scream Fortress should use the correct Match Group for Rich Presence as a Special Event. However, since there are more and more Scream Fortress maps, I think it's time to create a separate category for Matchmaking. The reason is simple: the number of maps in Scream Fortress keeps increasing, which creates a mess when queuing. image (A quick mockup I made)

By giving Scream Fortress its own category, maps could be organized into each respective category, making everything a bit cleaner. image (An unfinished quick mockup I made)

Sadly, we're a few days away from Scream Fortress now, so I doubt they'll implement my suggestion, but I wanted to give my idea.

Well, the alternative solution and I think this is the quickest way to do it, is that instead of creating a new category for matchmaking, use the “Special Events” category in casual mode to include various game modes within it. Checking out the items_game.txt file, I guess this would be easier than creating a new category from scratch image

I just hope that in this Scream Fortress don't add like 15 new maps, because we already have too many maps.

Some players suggest removing the less popular Halloween maps or the ones no one enjoys, but in my opinion, I don't think that's the right solution.

My solution: when the update is released, only half of the Halloween maps should be available during the first 2 weeks, and then the rest should be added. Though, I'm not sure if this would be a good idea.

Finally, if these changes are not made, then at least in "Core Game Modes" the number of maps in each game mode should be reduced to at least 5 or 6 at a minimum during the event, to avoid spreading out players in less popular regions and creating problems with queue times.
